What we make
At B. Kreps, Houston’s only full service custom tailor, we design and build clothing that reflects every dimension of who you are. Bespoke clothing is not limited to suits alone. We also make tuxedos, sport coats, shirts, dresses, and even denim. Each garment is cut and sewn exclusively for you, ensuring your wardrobe is as versatile as it is personal.

The Value of a Bespoke Garment
A bespoke garment differs fundamentally from made-to-measure or off-the-rack clothing. Instead of modifying a standard block, we create your pattern from scratch. This means the subtleties of your build and preferences are honored — for example, shoulder slope, balance between chest and back, the way your arms fall in motion, and the height of your waistband. For the wearer, the result is not just better fit but ease: a garment that looks impeccable and feels natural throughout the day.
The B. Kreps Bespoke Process
We begin with a try-on garment in plain cloth for your first fitting. Then, we make over 30 real-time adjustments directly on your body—refinements a tape measure can’t see. With those notes, your unique pattern is drafted and your suit is cut and sewn by our atelier in Amsterdam. We then meet for a second fitting in Houston to fine-tune silhouette and drape; any refinements are saved to your pattern so future commissions build on what we’ve learned. The full process typically takes five to six weeks.
Endless Options, Expertly Guided
Bespoke tailoring comes with endless possibilities — but that’s where our team comes in. During your fitting, we’ll help you discover fabrics that suit your needs or push you toward something new and adventurous. Our goal is to make the process enjoyable and rewarding, not overwhelming.
Once the fabrics are chosen, you get to have some fun — picking linings, buttons, and details that express your personality. Sometimes that part takes as long as the fitting itself.
With more than fifty years of combined experience, the B. Kreps team makes sure every choice reflects your vision. Whether it’s your first suit or a statement piece in a limited edition Scabal fabric, we’ll help bring your personal style to life — beautifully and confidently.

While it is possible to conduct fittings outside of the store, we strongly encourage our clients to visit our store for the first fitting at least. It allows us to show you the full selection of fabrics and customization options available to you, in addition to learning your lifestyle and sartorial preferences.
We believe the in-store experience is one of the joys of bespoke clothing and our customer testimonials prove that point emphatically. The truth is, it is hard to reproduce that experience in a time-pressured office environment. Once we have fine-tuned your fit, we can bring fabrics and styling accessories to your office. But then you miss out on spending time with Magic the Dawg!
